This article from Georgia Organics is a great reminder of another benefit to shopping at farmers markets, the local food impact.  “The study reports that, if each of the approximately 3.7 million households in the state devoted $10 per week to locally grown products from Georgia, it would add more than $1.9 billion back into the state’s economy.”

What an amazing impact we could all have just by shopping local once per week.
